SIMO Energy's Smart Transformer Station (STS) is a compact, prefabricated medium-voltage solution housed in a 20-foot HC ISO container, integrating an oil-immersed transformer, LV panel, and Ring Main Unit (RMU for utility-scale solar and energy storage deployments across West Africa and the Sahel. Engineered for high-temperature performance in extreme heat conditions and remote off-grid locations, it supports up to 9,000 kVA AC power output at 40°C with a rated output voltage range of 10–35 kV, making it ideal for rural electrification and microgrid applications throughout ECOWAS regions. The station features smart real-time monitoring and remote control capabilities essential for energy independence in isolated areas, with optional natural ester vegetable oil for enhanced environmental protection and fire safety in harsh, dusty environments. This pre-tested, transportable solution accelerates energy access deployment across West African communities with minimal on-site installation complexity.
